I just saw a commercial about Trident and how *insert number* of dentists recommend chewing Trident.
I don't chew Trident...anymore.
I use to.
Story time: I went to watch Harry Potter at Harkins Az Mills. I'm not too familiar with the series (put your stones away), but it was the scene with the root babies screaming bloody murder. I was sitting there chewing nothing but Trident when all of a sudden I feel something I can only describe as sand in my mouth. Freaked out I run to the bathroom. I get there and look in the mirror, I had chipped/chewed my right #7 tooth. I couldn't believe it. From then on, I was terrified of chewing gum. (That and the fact that I have severe TMJ issues, but that's a whole different story) Every day I chew, I feel it's a gamble, but I have never ever chewed Trident again.
Luckily I got braces after that and got my teeth reshaped, so it's a whole lot less noticeable- if you can even tell.
Chew wisely friends!
