Summer Movies
As most of you probably already know, teachers have summers off....well some do. The super-super heroes do summer school or take on another job. (Not I, said the chicken) I made promises to myself like: do laundry all day, work out, spend more time with the cats and turtles, clean the pool every day, work out, domesticate myself more-like learn cook, go through the garage, and/or dust off The Lovely Bones and read it. These ideas were put on hold and I blame Netflix. If you don't have Netflix, I assure you, this will be the best investment you've ever made. I was bored at home and started counting the number of times the ice trickled down the fridge (about 4 times in 9 hours). I started looking for movies I hadn't seen in ages. Lo and behold, some were on Netflix-instant. Some I rewatched, but here are the awesome ones:
- Swept Away
- The Maid
- Kadosh (awesome, awesome movie)
- Trick-r-Treat
- Ju On 2
- La Mission (awesome, but long for my taste)
- Phantom of the Opera
- Art of the Devil 2
- Gone With the Wind
Here are the awfuls:
- Laguna Beach
- Vampiro
- Eaten Alive
- The Hills
This list is officially bumming me out. Yes, I spent too much time watching TV, but that's what summer is for (my rationalization). My husband was very disappointed I spent time (which I'll never get back) watching The Hills and other awfuls.
